Mobile and Telehealth Assessment Fees

Intake Session $325

The initial intake session goes for 75-minutes. This allows for Susan to obtain a detailed developmental and educational history about you/your child, including work history for adults (where relevant).  Various assessment options are discussed, and a plan is made to answer your specific referral question.  


A separate intake session is required before any assessments can take place.  The intake session is available for both mobile or telehealth (phone or video) sessions.

Cognitive Assessment $1820 (Ages 6+ to adults)

Cognitive Assessments can help to diagnose the following neurodevelopmental conditions or abilities:

  • Intellectual Developmental Disorder (Intellectual Disability)

  • Identify giftedness

  • Identify cognitive strengths and differences.

​The cognitive assessment is conducted in-person using an iPad assessment, and the fee is inclusive of the cognitive assessment, adaptive behaviour questionnaires (if assessing for Intellectual Developmental Disorder), 30-minute feedback session, and comprehensive report.

Tablet Learning

Child Cognitive and ADHD Assessment $2340 (Ages 6 to 16 years)

The child cognitive and ADHD assessment includes a cognitive assessment, ADHD Young DIVA-5 clinical interview, executive functioning parent and teacher questionnaires, feedback session, and comprehensive report including tailored reasonable adjustments and recommendations for support. Screening for Autism can also be included as part of this package.

Child Diagnostic Autism (MIGDAS-2) and Cognitive Assessment $2600

The child diagnostic Autism (MIGDAS-2) and Cognitive assessment will explore your child/adolescent's developmental history, including their personal strengths, differences, cognitive abilities, social, emotional, sensory, and behavioural needs. This package includes an age-appropriate sensory clinical interview that assesses language and communication, social relationships, emotional responses, sensory use, and interests.

This is an in-person assessment for children and adolescents. This assessment includes the MIGDAS-2 sensory interview, cognitive assessment, clinical observations throughout the assessment process, parent/teacher questionnaires, 30-minute feedback session, and comprehensive report.

If your child/adolescent has already had a cognitive assessment done in the past two years, then we may not need to repeat this. In this case, the standalone fee for an Autism MIGDAS-2 assessment is $1820.

Learning / Academic Achievement Assessment $2210 (Ages 6+ to adults)

Learning Assessments are used to assess for the following neurodevelopmental conditions:

  • Specific Learning Disorders in Reading (Dyslexia)

  • Written Expression (Dysgraphia)

  • Mathematics (Dyscalculia)

Learning assessments can help to identify academic abilities and reasonable adjustments that may be required for school, university, or workplace settings.

The learning assessment is conducted in-person using an iPad and written assessment, and the fee is inclusive of the academic assessments, literacy screening assessments, 30-minute feedback session, and comprehensive report.

Combined Cognitive and Learning/Academic Achievement

Assessment $2860 (Ages 6+ to adults)

The combined cognitive and academic achievement assessment is used to assess for a wide range of neurodevelopmental conditions, including intellectual ability, specific learning disorders, and giftedness.

The combined cognitive and learning assessment is conducted in-person using an iPad and written assessment, and the fee is inclusive of all assessments, 30-minute feedback session, and comprehensive report.

School Readiness and Literacy Screening Assessment $1040  

The School Readiness and Literacy Screening assessments provide developmental screening for phonological awareness, orthographic competence, physical development, language development, pre-academic skills, self-help, and social-emotional skills. This screening assessment can help to identify whether a child is ready to start Prep, or what reasonable adjustments and support they may need when commencing school.

The school readiness and literacy screening assessment (in-person only) is inclusive of all developmentally appropriate screening assessments, 30-minute feedback session, and brief summary report. An optional 1.5 hour kindergarten observation for $390 (inclusive of travel) can help to shed further light on the young child's social-emotional, pre-academic, motor, and learning support needs.

School Children

Child ADHD, Autism, Executive Functioning, Social-Emotional, and Behavioural Screening Assessment $1040 (ages 5 to 17)

This child ADHD/Autism/Executive Functioning screening only assessment includes a 1-hour child clinical interview, relevant parent and teacher questionnaires, 30-minute feedback session, and brief report including tailored recommendations for support. This package does not include a cognitive or Migdas-2 assessment.

Adult ADHD and Executive Functioning Assessment $1300

Adult MIGDAS-2 Autism Assessment $1560 

Adult ADHD/Executive Functioning and Autism Assessment $2080

The Adult ADHD and Autism neurodiverse affirming diagnostic assessments are able to explore your neurotype, your strengths and differences, and ongoing support needs across a variety of settings. These adult assessments are available through telehealth (video) sessions. 

Adult ADHD and Autism Diagnostic assessments fees are inclusive of the assessments, online questionnaires, 30-minute feedback session, and comprehensive diagnostic report.

 

If a cognitive assessment is recommended to explore other referral questions relating to cognitive processing (i.e., verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning, working memory, and processing speed), this is an additional fee of $650 and this assessment is conducted in-person.

Feedback Session

Your feedback session is included as part of the assessment package.  We will discuss the assessment results in detail, including key findings, reasonable adjustments and recommendations for support.

We will schedule your feedback session for approximately 5 to 7 weeks following the last assessment session.

Assessment reports are finalised and provided within 5 business days after the feedback session.

Adaptive Behaviour Assessment

Adaptive behaviour assessments are included as part of our assessment packages for assessing Intellectual Developmental Disability (Intellectual Disability), ADHD and Autism Diagnostic Assessments, and NDIS Review Reports.

The fee for a standalone adaptive behaviour assessment, with detailed report and feedback session is $780.

NDIS Review Reports $445.98 (Current clients only)

NDIS Review reports are available for current NDIS therapy clients, to help monitor progress towards meeting personal NDIS goals.

QCAA/AARA Report $260 (Past clients only)

QCAA/AARA Reports for upper secondary students help to identify student learning support needs and recommendations for reasonable adjustments in Years 11 and 12.

School Supply

Adult Career Screening Assessment

The adult career screening assessment can identify a person's vocational strengths, skills, abilities, personal interests, and career aspirations.  The career screening assessment can help to identify different vocational career paths that match the persons interests and skill areas.

The adult career screening assessment can be added on to any adult assessment for an additional $390.

A standalone career assessment, including summary report and brief feedback session is $780.

Report Timeframes

Sea Star Psychology provides comprehensive psychoeducational and neuroaffirming diagnostic assessment reports that incorporate detailed developmental and educational history, extensive interpretation of the assessment results, and tailored recommendations to best support young people and adults in school, university, and workplace settings.  These comprehensive reports take time to interpret the information, make a diagnosis (if diagnostic criteria have been met), and form individualised and practical recommendations.

 

Child and Adult Psychoeducational and ADHD/Autism assessment reports are completed within approximately 8 weeks. Report timeframes may vary if there are delays in schools returning assessment questionnaires. 

Assessment reports are finalised and provided within a few days after the feedback session.

NDIS Review Reports are completed within 4 weeks. We require 4-weeks notice for any NDIS review report requests.

QCAA/AARA Reports are completed within 2 weeks.  We require 2-weeks notice for any QCAA/AARA report requests.
